Rev. Jim Day
Rev. Jim Day graduated from The Southern Seminary in Louisville, Ky. in December of 1990. The first assignment out of seminary took Jim, Carol and the girls, Jennifer and April, to the Washington DC suburbs where Jim served as an Associate Pastor, Business Administrator, Minister of Christian Education and, as Senior Pastor. Carol served as church librarian and taught children’s Sunday School classes. In 2006, Jim and Carol moved to Columbia to be closer to aging parents. Jim went to work for the CLAIM program, assisting Medicare Beneficiaries with their benefits and has served three United Methodist churches in the Mid- State district as a part time local pastor. Carol works for Advanced Radiology as the transcription supervisor. Married for 37 years Jim and Carol have two grandchildren, which they see almost weekly and enjoy trout fishing every fall with Jim’s brother and a group from the Kirkwood United Methodist Church.
